However, I did still go to HIIT. I figure the only thing NEW I'm adding to my regimen is more consistent running. I generally do HIIT twice a week and weight training twice a week. Therefore, I see no reason to change that and intend to continue my normal routine, just with added running. Hopefully, I'll get along just fine. I do not want any injuries! I've had enough of that.
Today's workout consisted of:
WOD: "A little bit of everything!"
For time:
20 Wall ball shots
40 Sit-ups
20 Box jumps
40 Push-ups
20 Squat Cleans
40 Double-unders (or 100 singles)
20 Thrusters
40 Overhead Lunges
20 Kettlebell swings
40 Burpees
20 Push press
40 Air Squats
20 SDHP
40 Sit ups
20 Knees to elbows
20 Wall ball shots
40 Sit-ups
20 Box jumps
40 Push-ups
20 Squat Cleans
40 Double-unders (or 100 singles)
20 Thrusters
40 Overhead Lunges
20 Kettlebell swings
40 Burpees
20 Push press
40 Air Squats
20 SDHP
40 Sit ups
20 Knees to elbows
I'm not sure what my time was as I barely finished it before they yelled, "TIME", but hey I finished! I can't tell you how good it feels to say, "I finished." I just really like being able to do that. I wish I'd have remembered my heart-rate monitor so I could have seen the calorie burn on that baby!
Tomorrow will be my first run since October 28th. I plan to take it slow & steady and see how I get on for 3 miles. I do not feel as if my knee is 100% but maybe it just needs some movement. I also plan to take my dog; Roxie...it could get very interesting. I'll let you know how it goes & try to catch you up on what's been going on.
I should have been blogging during my 'injury & sickness' break, but as you see I did not. Hopefully, I can post daily from here until Race Day to let you know how my training is going and so forth. Oh...one last thing, I've already signed up for my 3rd 1/2 marathon - it's in March! :) I am determined to be under that 2:30 time frame!
Goodnight & Happy Healthy December everyone!
