The Progress Continues

I'm really trying to get back into this blogging and stick with it. I used to do so good at it, but at some point I lost all my motivation for anything. I'm so glad to have regained it and pray I never lose it again. It's a crazy thing when you just sort of stop everything you enjoy and are just kinda there. It's almost like taking a passenger seat to your own life. I'm not sure what happened with me or how I got that way, but I know I did. My scrapbooking suffered, my writing suffered, and so did my health/fitness. It's almost like someone flipped the off switch and then suddenly back in September it got switched on again. I'm thankful for that and I pray it stays on for a very long time.

With that being said I have continued to make progress in my weight loss journey. Which has also become a fitness journey. I guess you really can't have one with out the other now can you? Now for the updates:

March 1st 2012: 142.8 (home scales)

I wanted it to say 139, but hey I still lost a pound! That's progress.

Total lost: 17.2 lbs
Next mini goal: To lose 10.8 by April 23 2012 - My birthday. I want to see 132! Cause I'll be 32 =)
Final goal: To lose 22.8 by July 29th - reaching my end goal of 120.

March 6th 2010 Assessment

Weight: 141 lbs - scale in the ladies locker room with clothing on! I think I need a new scale at home!!

Hips: 39.5
Thighs: R - 20.5 & L- 20.5
Calves: 14.5
Biceps: L- 12.25 & R- 12.5

Total inches lost Jan.3-Mar.6 = 3.25!!! Yeah, Baby!!!

Total inches lost Nov.15-Mar.6 = 9.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, that ROCKS!!!

As I mentioned, the progress continues =)

Other progress as been made this month as well...and yes, I'm smiling as I type this. On March. 1st I did a 5K for Our Fallen Defenders and I set myself a new PR (personal record - yes, I'm learning the runners lingo) 34:30!!! All I wanted was to be under 40 minutes. I'm usually stuck with a 47! So when I saw 34, I just knew I had to get there before it became a 35 and I did it! I was very, very proud. I can almost keep up with my 9-year-old son, who holds a PR of 31:27!

Lastly, the New You contest I mentioned being nominated for previously...well the winners have been announced...and I WON! I'm very excited about that, but also nervous. Not sure the last time I really had just MY pictures taken. It's a pretty cool thing to win, I think. I'll have to post some photos tomorrow of my journey thus far, so that when Sasha does her magic you can see the difference. I think it will be amazing!

Current Challenge: Run 100 miles in 6 weeks. I'm at 4:35 miles since Mar. 1st - I better get to work!
