I LOVE summer. I love the sun, the warmth, and all the fun that comes with it! But if I cannot have summer; then I'd like to have October. Why? Because it's not freezing yet and it has the most beautiful vibrant colors of the year. I'm sure all the other months are jealous. It is also a GREAT time to take pictures and I've been taking some pictures. Pictures that fit a few descriptions:

Now, then...it's October. New month. New goals, right? I sure hope so! :) I've been doing a lot of thinking about goals as mine change regularly. I've daily, weekly, monthly, and longer goals. I guess you could call them 'mini goals', 'big goals' and 'extra large goals'. :) Sounds good to me anyway.
Do you have goals? The cover photo on my Facebook says, "A goal without a plan is just a wish". I take that to mean, if you are not being active in pursuing that goal, if you are not writing it down, photographing the steps along the way...then honey, it's just a wish. Now, add to that a quote from Cinderella, "A dream is a wish your heart makes" - and put them together. If you've got a 'wish' then all you need for it to come true is to make a 'plan' and then you've a 'goal' that needs to be accomplished. In the end, the dream, wish, goal, and plan all come together to form an amazing accomplishment that leaves you feeling proud and successful and maybe even slightly a little bit heavenly.
So what are those goals???

Now, if you stop by and read my posts and you don't leave me a comment listing at least ONE goal, I'm going to be disappointed in you cause I know without a shadow of a doubt that I'm not the only one with goals here. I think goals are meant to be shared, cheered on and celebrated...soooo let me HELP you. :)
Here are a few of my current goals:
- A 4-week-rolling menu. Meaning whatever we have for dinner on say Tuesday - we will have for every Tuesday in October.
- Get my weight going back in the right direction. With summer, kids out of school, holidays and too many Starbucks it went up a little - 138. I'm back to 137 already... P.S. having only ONE Starbucks this month...reward after 13.1. :)
- See 130 by Nov. 1st - yes, I'm an over achiever! :)
- Run a 1/2 marathon Oct 28th and set myself a new Personal Record or Personal Best - which ever way you like to say it.
- Ideally, I'd love for my next 1/2 time to be an hour less than my first. 3:24:56 - 1 hour = 2:24:56...anything below that is just bonus.
- Cleaner eating, no HFCS and all that crap I can not pronounce.
- Work on not getting easily burnt out while running.
- Study for my certifications, so I can pass!
- Take pictures of every item that enters my mouth for the WHOLE month.
- Be an available friend...
